Thanks to NickandMore.com, we have what seems to be the first four episode titles of Book 2. They haven’t all been officially confirmed by Nickelodeon, but they seem to be legitimate based on the source’s high level of credibility. As you probably already know, episode 1 will be titled ‘Rebel Spirit’ and episode 2 will be titled ‘The Southern Lights’. Episode 3 and 4 will be broken into two parts and titled ‘Civil War – Part 1’ and Civil War – Part 2’, respectively. The first episode titled ‘Rebel Spirit’ has already been confirmed by Nickelodeon, but the following 3 are still unconfirmed.
Besides the fact that NickandMore is a trusted source, one of the main reasons why I believed these episode titles in the first place is because they make a lot of sense. The title of episode 3 and 4, specifically, makes a lot of sense mostly due to an interview Dante Basco (voice of Zuko and General Iroh II) did over a year ago.
Let’s roll the clack back to May 2012 and take a look at a bit of news Dante Basco tipped off that now comes back as possible evidence 15 months later.
In an interview with Crave Online, Dante Basco discussed parts of his film career as well as the roles he played as an actor. Towards the end of the interview, Crave Online brought up the Legend of Korra.
Dante Basco confirmed that voice work had begun on the new season and that he had a role in episode 3 or 4. Assuming Dante Basco is reprising his role from Book 1, General Iroh II should be returning in one of the parts of the episode supposedly titled ‘Civil War’.
When General Iroh II is in an episode, the United Forces are typically involved as well. Wouldn’t it be ideal for the United Forces to be involved in a Civil War that could quite possibly be between the Southern and Northern Water Tribes?
I would think so, and if anything, this only further advocates the possibility that these episode titles are accurate. It also gives us a possible preview of what ‘Civil War’ could be all about. The war in the episode could intensity to the point where the United Forces are called in to get involved.
Nothing here is confirmed, but I’d say the odds of this type of scenario happening are fairly likely as long as the two pieces of information at hand are accurate. If Dante Basco was involved in episode 3, maybe the calling of General Iroh II and the United Forces was the first action taken in stopping the war? If Dante Basco was in the episode 4, maybe the calling of General Iroh II and the United Forces was the resolution to the war?
It’s all speculation at this point, but what are your thoughts?
