Legend of Korra Book 2: Episode 7 ‘Beginnings – Part 1′ Leaked

Just as we learned in July, a little patience always tends to pay off. Less than 24 hours after the conclusion of the Legend of Korra panel at the NYCC, the entire ‘Beginnings – Part 1’ episode was leaked. Sometime yesterday, I released a few spoilers for the episode to get fans ready for all the action. Today fans will have the opportunity to watch the entire episode 5 days before it airs. The best part about this particular leak is that it’s fairly good: it looks good, and most importantly, it sounds good.

Many of you may find it immoral to watch this leaked episode for a multitude of reasons. I’m not here to tell you what’s right and what’s wrong, but just understand that this leak won’t affect ratings in any way. Leaks just don’t have that kind of effect on ratings and they never will. Nickelodeon posted the first two episodes of Book 1 online early, and the episodes still pulled in 4.5 million viewers.

The ‘Beginnings – Part 1’ leak has been uploaded to YouTube and it’s divided into two parts. I imagine it’s only a matter of time before Viacom takes them down, so I suggest watching them as soon as possible if you plan on it.

Enjoy ‘Beginnings – Part 1’:

The leak is great, but it doesn’t show the last 3-4 minutes or so.

    • Jacob Jonuin

Yeah it was a good leak, but it’s worth the wait until the episode airs on friday night! :)

The Avatar Wan has a good sense of humor actually! :)

  • Lauren

It looks amazing! Even if the last few minutes are cut off, the quality was pretty good and you could actually hear it! I suggest watching it fast, I tried to download it with my video downloaded app but YouTube wouldn’t let it. Maybe someone else can download it though.
    Spirits! Yay!!

    • GoLEAFSGo

You can use keepvid.com and paste the URL in.

    shitty series

    • Levani

You must be a really pathetic person in life huh? If you dislike something, get the fuck out of here and go try to do something in life which pleases you. Or maybe your tiny brain makes you think that hating on a show’s fan-site will make your life better.

      • Jacob Jonuin

        fuck urself

        • Levani

Hah, everybody is a tough guy on the Internet huh? How old are you? I will legitimately feel bad if you’re under 14. And I’ll feel sorry for you if you’re older than 14.

Seriously dude, grow up. It’s fine to dislike Legend of Korra. No one will kill you for that. After all, all of us have their own opinions in this world. However this is something called manners and common sense. Nobody will like you when you’re like this. What are you even after? Attention? Well I guess you’re receiving it right now. Please, just walk away and THINK before you post. We, humans, are a civilization, not a gang of “I said so” people.

  • Jacob Jonuin

    fucku nick!

  • Kailee

I couldn’t resist watching! OMG what an awesome episode and pretty good quality too! Can’t wait til Beginnings part 2 this Friday! :D

    • Joe

I know same!! Also on a side not, does anyone think that Wan looks a bit like Mako when he has the short hair?

      • Kailee

I didn’t realize that til you mentioned it!! Haha

  • Katherine

That was great. It seems like the guy got caught or nearly got caught when she/he stopped filming the episode. I can’t wait to see the remainder of that episode and Beginnings Part 2

    • ajames123

No his Camera ran out of memory.

  • crystalline

Wow! Pretty weird at times but very interesting. I liked it but I wish we could see the end. I cant wait till Friday when we can watch both parts! So excited to see how Wan becomes a full avatar. Although, I do kinda wish we Team Avatar was in either of these episodes at least a little.

    • LOKlover

I agree. But I doubt Team Avatar will be heavily involved in these two episodes. Saad…. :(

  • GoLEAFSGo

    REGARDING THE STING
I like the episode, but am disappointed. The show has lost its innocence with Nutuk and his inappropriate dress-code and actions, not to mention ginger. I don’t understand the kissing – Asami is how old? 19? Why is there such an urge to kiss Mako that she, a mature 19-year-old, can’t control herself? And Bolin with Ginger. What are we teaching kids these days? That we don’t need to control ourselves? That we don’t have to dress and act appropriately and modestly? Other than that stuff, it was a superb episode – I never thought Varrick was involved, though many others did, and I NEVER saw Korra losing her memories coming at all. The entire beginning and last scenes were well done, and had a creepy, “unknown” feeling to them. Hard to explain.

    Thoughts anyone?

    • crystalline

Yea I agree. I think they are sending a bit of a bad message with kissing and thing and the whole Nuktuk and Ginger thing. Even in Book 1 with the love triangle, Mako definitely did some thing he should not have done an he never even formally broke up with Asami. I think the writers have gone a bit too far with the whole romance thing in this. Its nice to a certain extent. The kissing everywhere we turn, especially with people that aren’t your boyfriend or girlfriend already is a bit much. All in all the episode was fantastic!

      • GoLEAFSGo

Ya. Good point about Mako. I didn’t even notice that before. :)

    • Muggle

Do yourself a favor, NEVER watch an adult series where the good characters aren’t totally flawless and screw up sometimes. And might even go naked every once in a while. No seriously, grow up.

In case you didn’t notice, their misbehavior doesn’t go completely unpunished. That’s kind of the point. Ginger is not at all happy with Bolin for kissing her. Asami quickly figures out that Mako does not want to date her again after she kisses him.

Korra isn’t for kids. It’s for teenagers who either know better than to dress and act inappropriately, or for those who can pick up on the messages more easily. Just in case the terrorist attacks and threats of actual death didn’t clue you in as to why the show’s been pushed back to 8:30, right before the Nick at Nite block. Kids who are young and impressionable enough to get their moral instruction off a TV show are probably already in bed by the time Korra comes on.

Also, modesty is pretty darn subjective. I’m wearing long jeans and a long-sleeve shirt right now and I guarantee you there are people out there who think I’m dressed immodestly because I’m not wearing a freaking burka.

      • GoLEAFSGo

Hey appreciate your thoughts, but try to be a bit more respectful :)

I’m not trying to be judgemental, I’m just pointing out some issues that I don’t agree with. As a Christian, I’m coming at this issue from a different perspective than most.

Honestly, in most adult shows today (GameofThrones), it seems that society doesn’t think “going naked” is wrong. Kissing whoever, and sleeping with whomever, is ok. There’s no right and wrong, just what you THINK is right and wrong.

And you’re statement “It’s for teenagers who either know better than to dress and act inappropriately” umm… just look at our teenagers today. The media is flooding society and people’s minds with a sexual ethical mess and this show isn’t helping. Teens have thrown modesty out the window, and our media isn’t helping.

And i definitely agree that modesty is subjective, but I think wearing jeans and a t-shirt compared to underwear (with a muscular body like Bolin’s) are on opposite sides of the spectrum. I don’t feel the need that women (or men) need to where a body-covering blanket, but need to be reasonable. Don’t dress in a way that causes people to have wrong thoughts. Of course its always up to the person to decide what they do/think about, but showing respect by helping them not do this shows true maturity.

        1 Tim. 2:9-10
oh and John 3:16. That’s how I view the world.
Sorry to preach, but I think its important. What are your views about morals/God/stuff like that?

        • Jonathan

In response to “Don’t dress in a way that causes people to have wrong thoughts”:
That sort of implies that you don’t trust people enough to control themselves if they see other people who wear less clothing. Clothing does not make civilization. Personal self-control does.

Modesty is a good rule to live by, as one might be more tempted to be more promiscuous if one dresses scantily. But, it does not mean that you should be modest for *other people’s sakes*. For me personally, it’s an odd reason to justify your *own* actions.

And in response to 1 Tim. 2:9-10, I would say that it’s not the clothes that make one immoral. One who is immoral may be more likely to wear those clothes though.

          • GoLEAFSGo

Well the Golden rules that many religions follow state: Do unto others as you would have them do to you. You put yourselves in other people’s shoes and act accordingly to help others. We live for others, not ourselves – that’s called selfishness. And I’m not saying this because I never do it. I’m saying this from a perspective that I mess up too.

        • Dillon DeVries

As an ex-Christian, I’d appreciate you not trying to point out all the little things a show does that don’t line up with how your religion views the world. It’s all fine and dandy for you to have your opinion and everyone respects your freedom of religion.

But Christ said that “If people choose to follow me, they will be saved”. Some people don’t choose that, and Christ let well enough alone. Christian means “Christ-like” or “Following Christ’s example”. Be like Christ and just put the option out there to follow, not like all the “Christians” I used to look up to who think that there is no choice or option, directly blaspheming the God they pretend to worship to try and terraform and micromanage the world into their perfect little bubble.

          It’s a good show for fuck’s sake.

          • Muggle

This is why I can’t stand it when fundies try to cause a moral panic about a show. They see the good characters doing something everyone can agree is wrong, then clutch their pearls and go on a crusade because the show is OBVIOUSLY sending the wrong messages.

This is why I wasn’t allowed to read Harry Potter when I was still attending church; because Harry frequently broke the rules (and used magic, which is a no-no if you’re Southern Baptist, but also because Harry didn’t always obey authority). I was a teenager when book 7 came out, 15 in fact. Harry used the Unforgivable Curses. I didn’t come away from that thinking it was okay to torture and brainwash people like Harry did. I didn’t come away thinking that I should ditch my friends because our mission isn’t going well like Ron did. I don’t think any of the teenagers reading Deathly Hallows got that message, either.

          • GoLEAFSGo

I’m not trying to micromanage!! Why does everyone get so uptight? I’m just raising a valid point I believe.

Yes, it is an amazing show!!! I KNOW!!!

I’m trying to state this in a non-judgemental way. But I’m glad it started this huge conversation!

And I’m sorry to hear that you are no longer a Christian. ;( I encourage you to maybe go back to the BIBLE and not look to other Christians like me who make mistakes :)

Can’t wait till next week’s episode!!! WOOT!

          • crystalline

I also encourage you to put some effort into trying to read and comprehend the Bible for what is. No one is perfect and even some Christians are tainted but the Bible holds the truth and that is where all good things lie.

          • Muggle

I encourage you to stop preaching at all of us. It’s getting really annoying. Not all of us believe in Christianity and have very, very good reasons for doing so.

          • crystalline

I am not. I am simply agreeing with what someone else had to say. If you do not like what I have to say you can ignore it. No one is forcing you to believe what I believe. You have a choice to believe whatever you want.

          • Muggle

Your last comment was preachy and implying that Christianity was the only truth out there, and you encouraged us to read and comprehend the Bible. That doesn’t work for all of us. I tried that years ago, and found that atheism worked out better for me. Nobody is forcing me to believe anything, but people sure do like to ‘encourage’ me to “consider” something I made my mind up about a long time ago.

        • bonkeri

Sorry for barging in here, but I think the reason the creators dressed Bolin in the way they did is because they wanted to make fun of society. Bolin doesn’t dress that way in the actual show itself, but in the show INSIDE the show (Varrick’s movers). The authors aren’t promoting that way of dressing, but using it to create a satirical point of view about how we now see half-naked muscular men as being heroic.

About the kissing: I think Asami did it because she was really desperate and grateful, yet she backed off in the end, showing control and self-restraint.

You’re totally right about today’s generation’s modesty getting thrown out the window. In August, all the teen girls in my school basically wear bras and “shorts”(which is basically underwear). But that’s just us changing. Things that once were punishable by death are now stylish.

As for “God”, or any divine being for that matter: I don’t know. I certainly don’t believe in the portrayal of God any kind of human religion exudes, as they were written by humans and will have bias. I would like to think that there is no such thing, and that science is always right, but I’m still open to the idea.

          • GoLEAFSGo

Good point. I totally agree that styles have changed and that’s ok. But the probable intentions and results of those changes have not.

I strongly encourage you to read the Bible. It’s cool to read and once you read it all, it comes together so beautifully that it HAS to be divine. It was written by 40 different authors over a 2 thousand year time-span and it all fits!! An indicator that “someone” used human styles of writing to convey it all. Jesus was real. He existed and said the things he said. It’s up to you to believe it, but NO ONE can force you to.

Science can only go so far and its based on repeatable, observations. I’d also encourage to check out sites like ANSWERS in GENESIS or the CREATION ministries. It’s another point of view that you will find interseting, intellectual, and maybe might change your mind about what scientists claim today about how “right” evolution is and how “stupid” the church is. Just a suggestion :)

          • bonkeri

Yes, a person named Jesus definitely existed, and yes, he probably said about 85% of the things that the Bible claims he said.

“Science can only go so far and its based on repeatable, observations.” EXACTLY! The things science claims are true ARE true because you can do them over, and over, and over again- removing any doubt or mystery. True scientists never say that they know everything, because they don’t! We KNOW a vast universe exists out there, and many others after that. We can SEE the stars, and measure how far away it is by studying just it’s light and size. It’s very foolish to think that an all-knowing being concerns himself with whether you went to a specific building(a church) on a specific day (sunday) to utter specific vibrations in the air (pray) and ask for an entrance a nice place after you die.

Christianity, and many other religions are what hindered the growth of civilization, knowledge, and education. If it hadn’t been for it, I could fly a rocket to Mars right now.

And all that BS about how religions teach you morals- NO, THEY DON’T! They just teach you that if you do certain things written in a book, you will get rewarded. True morals come from the heart, and what you BELIEVE is right, not whether or not some big scary dude will send you to a fiery pit after you die.

          • crystalline

Actually everyone is driven by fear. The fear of God is what saves a lot of people and causes them to develop their morals and accept Christianity. That’s why many Christians are referred to as God fearing people.

          • linean

Yes, but SHOULD they fear “Him”?

“Fear leads to anger, Anger leads to hate, Hate leads to Suffering.”?

          • crystalline

Fear his wrath because he has power to do anything. Fear him as we fear our parents because we love them and respect them. You respects God’s ways through fear. I have a hard time explaining because the passage about fearing God is a bit confusing to me.

          • Muggle

…are you talking to yourself? O.o

          • crystalline

No? I was replying to GoLEAFSGo

          • Muggle

For some reason it looks like you keep replying to another Kailee and I’m really, really confused now.

          • Iroh

Well…If he has the power to do anything, he sure is a lazy-ass bum. Deforestation, desertification, overpopulation, starvation, floods, wildfires, corruption, etc. We have to solve these problems by ourselves rather than look up for a divine intervention. “In the darkest times, Hope is something you give yourself.”

          • crystalline

Well I am sure theres a reason for it all. Also God has many different ways of solving our problems or dealing with them. But we have to remember that we live in a world full of sin and there a consequences for our actions and those are probably some of them. Many times people overlook the things God does for us.

          • Iroh

He sure has a funny way of “punishing” us. KiIlling off millions of innocent African children, while the true criminals lounge in their wealth.

          • crystalline

Not necessarily. Satan’s number one goal is to rip us apart. Not everything is God’s wrath.

          • GoLEAFSGo!

            (1) Our nation was founded on Christ and many of the most brilliant scientists ever (Newton, etc…) were Christians who explored science and the world because they wanted to discover the world God created. “Math is the language of God” is what a scientist once said. God wants us to explore His creation!!! He made it for humans to enjoy and succeed!!!! You couldn’t be farther from the truth. Don’t judge Christianity based on people – based it on God and the Bible.

            (2) Where are you getting 85% from? someone else who said it? HOw would they know? They base this number on what they THINK he should have said. Don’t repeat things you’ve heard. prove it please :)

            (3) Of course science is based on repeatable evidence. That’s why I said it!! Evolution is both NOT repeatable or observable. And before you tell me, bacteria is not one example of evolution. True evolution (macro-evolution) stats that a species must change species. “Evolving” bacteria are still bacteria. But its called natural selection.

            (4) God is a God of love and he CARES about YOU. From the big things to the little things. It’s about having a relationship with the God that loves you and wants you to logically think about things.. NOT RELIGION. Going to church isn’t going to get you into heaven. Believing that there’s NOTHING you can do to get to heaven will though – if you believe that Christ’ death and ressurection paid the price to get you there. It’s a free gift – but you still have to accept it.

            (5) It’s not just about heaven. It’s about living the way God wants and wanting to live that way. :)

            (6) So you’re saying if I BELIEVE in my HEART that stealing is ok, then it’s ok?

            (7) I love science and math!! It’s so cool!!! God is the author of science. Order cannot come from chaos? Something cannot come for nothing. It doesn’t make sense.

            (8) I LOVE KORRA!!!

            (9) Hope that helps :)

          • Anon

well said, fellow scientist, i’m an atheist, too, however i couldn’t help but notice one thing that i feel the need to correct. Morality doesn’t stem from the heart, it actually comes from the brain. The heart actually has nothing to do with emotions, despite the name. Human morality is ever-changing in society and is based off of, biological evolution, brain chemistry, and primal instinct. Our hominid ancestors were once an an endangered species and learned to work together and help one another to survive. Working together and relying on each other for physical and psychological support played a key role in the survival of our species in the pre-historical period. Therefore, via natural selection, our species became very social.

          • crystalline

I agree with you 100%! I too am a strong believer in God and I understand completely where you come from! The Bible is a great book and has a word for everything! I love being Christian because everything makes so much sense and there is so much proof within it, if people actually took the time to read and understand, that shows that God did exist and the stories within it are real. Science does prove a lot but it can only prove so much! The Bible has something for everything which is why I always turn to it for everything. One thing I am always mindful of in these situations when people argue so harshly against you is that that is inevitable. Not everyone is going to believe and be saved. That’s is prophecy and part of God’s plan. There are going to be more people that rot in hell than make it to heaven. So I just ignore it and let people talk because not everyone can be saved. I just cant wait until that glorious day when everyone bows and proclaims the name of Jesus and that day is coming VERY soon. As for your argument about the way the creators dress the characters I also agree.

          • GoLEAFSGo

That’s super great to hear!!! I could repeat every world you’ve said for my own life. :)

Definitely agree with your point. :) I think i’ve said enough in this discussion. I’ll leave the rest up to God. :) What church do you go to? I’m a baptist.

            God bless.

          • wat

You…You just agreed with a point that YOU made!

          • GoLEAFSGo

I agreed with this statement: ” So I just ignore it and let people talk because not everyone can be saved.” LOL.

          • wat

No, sorry. my mistake. I thought crystalline had replied to her own comment

          • Jas

Thank you! Exactly, the authors were just documenting history. That’s the beautiful part about what Bryke does. They do their research and apply it to their show to make it applicable to our world. Think back to the Marilyn Monroe stage. The reason we see Bolin and Ginger like that is because that’s what really started happening in our film industry.

        • Muggle

I’m not going to dress according to what I think other people will think. I’m an atheist who dresses pretty conservatively, BY CHOICE. I PREFER layered tops and longer shorts/skirts and pants. I don’t care whether or not I’m “causing” someone else to think naughty thoughts about me cause guess what? I can’t control what people think. I’m not going to “help” anyone else with their thoughts, because unless they say or do something, I don’t know what’s going on in their head! I CAN’T help what other people think! People can dress however they like. The human body is beautiful and wonderful. Yes, there are appropriate ways to dress but I don’t consider it to depend on how much skin one is showing, I look at it through context. Obviously wearing a bikini everywhere is silly and inappropriate; as is wearing jeans to a formal event. I don’t make assumptions about people’s morals based on what they’re wearing.

To be honest I really can’t believe you brought Game of Thrones into this. It is an ADULT show, meant for adults to enjoy. It’s very, very, very gray; so to say it “teaches” anything is just plain silly. People get naked because once upon a time in the REAL WORLD, sex was very important and in certain contexts could either strengthen alliances or topple empires. Even though good characters in the show do things “we” (well, you, really) consider immoral, they tend to get punished within the show somehow. Tywin’s constantly chewing out Tyrion for constantly getting drunk and sleeping with prostitutes; it’s not acceptable behavior even in-show. Cersei and Jaime are TWINS ffs and their sexual relationship is punishable by their children’s deaths! Not every show is going to conform to a black-and-white worldview where the protagonists follow all the rules and never do anything wrong or have flaws. That’s for kid’s shows. Shows meant for teens and adults will have flawed protagonists.

The Legend of Korra isn’t “teaching” teens that it’s okay to do anything. Have you really thought about how inappropriate Bolin’s Nuktuk outfit is for the weather at the Southern Water Tribe? It’s meant to be ridiculous and inappropriate. As is Ginger’s outfit. In the real Southern Water Tribe, people wear long robes, pants, and furry coats; Ginger and Bolin both know this as does Varrick. Teens aren’t going to see Bolin and Ginger’s costumes and think they’re appropriate. If they’re paying attention, they’ll think it’s silly. You’re blaming one show for a society-wide problem of sexualizing children and teenagers when the show doesn’t even do that.

As for Bolin and Asami forcibly kissing people? THE SHOW DOES NOT TREAT IT LIKE IT’S OKAY. Have you even been paying attention? Mako does not accept Asami’s kiss. Ginger chews Bolin out. Teenagers watching these scenes are not going to get the message “oh hey! All I need to do is forcibly kiss my crush and he/she will like me!” they’re going to get the message “oh, that’s a really dumb idea.” That’s the message the show intends and I thought that was pretty clear.

Seriously, teenagers are not complete idiots. Treating them like dumb children will not help them in the long run. One of my biggest complaints about children’s television is that it’s very preachy, black-and-white, and talks down to young viewers. Avatar: The Last Airbender was different; it had flawed protagonists as well who broke the rules, and those protagonists learned from their mistakes. That’s what’s going on here in Legend of Korra. Flawed protagonists breaking the rules and getting called on it.

Tell me, do you think teenagers are going to act like douchebags to be more like Bolin these days? It’s an honest question. The only punishment Bolin seems to get for his attitude is annoying Mako and having his hot tub overheated. Should I worry about teenagers being obscenely conceited like that?

Or are you just worried about the “immodesty” and kissing and not the violence in the show? You haven’t addressed the murders, suicide, terrorism, kidnapping, and fighting that goes on in the show. I think I know where your priorities lie.

          • CoolGuy

But violence for the right reason is right, right? And LoK shows terrorists in a bad light – we know they are the bad guys!!!!

And in GameofThrones, do they have to show it? It’s cause they WANT to show it because they know people WANT to see it. It’s absolutely perverted. And i’ve just read the reviews. It’s basically soft-porn on HBO.

          • Muggle

They show it because it’s based on a book series. A lot of fans of the books are annoyed at how the nudity and sex is portrayed, but the books are still filled with it. Again, it’s for ADULTS to enjoy. Not kids. Not teenagers.

As for Bolin and Asami– their actiosn were shown in a bad light! Ginger and Mako don’t go along with the forced kisses. They’re not interested and they say so (okay Ginger actually says so, Mako just tries to change the subject, but it’s still crystal clear he’s not interested).

        • Tahno

Dude I know the Bible and where your coming from but this will not be looked apon as the right place. Go somewhere to share that message.

      • crystalline

Yes it appeals more to teenagers but I know PLENTY of teenagers who do the exact same thing and are very immodest. They know better but because they see that lots of other people don’t dress modestly or act appropriately they think it’s okay too. So part of what you’re saying is not completely valid. Teens have sense but often times choose not to use and follow what they see. Yes there a lot of definitions of immodest but I think it’s pretty obvious that what Bolin wears and even Ginger is over the top that’s easy to see.

        • crystalline

EDIT: Tend not to use it and follow what they see other people do.

    • Aeri

I don’t agree. Bolin is wearing more than a loincloth, and the shorts are thick, puffy, and are higher up/longer than most men’s shorts. What’s showing that isn’t already showing when men wear regular swimtrunks? A little bit of thigh above the knees? Get over it. ATLA had no innocence because it was placed in a REAL WORLD dealing with REAL WORLD problems. (Note, though the Avatar World is imaginary, it functions like a real world, with real humans. The only things they have that we don’t is bending and spirits, and they handle those like usual humans.) Korra is even darker already having suicides, murder, terrorism, corruption within government etc. Asami willingly kissed Mako, and I’m pretty sure anyone, no matter the influence, would probably do the same thing with Ginger. She’s tied down, and you’re in love in a dramatic moment. Of course they’re going to have a romantic moment. As said already, Korra is a teenager-adult show more than a children’s show. The message ‘it’s okay to not be able to control yourself’ is not there unless you are looking for it. I feel you are making a mountain out of a molehill, but this is my personal opinion. The ultimate line is, don’t watch shows for mature audiences if you can’t handle the content.

      • GoLEAFSGo

It’s not that I can’t handle the content, its just that they show that content as if its good and right. It’s not decent. But I love the show!

And I know Asami willingly kissed Mako, but that doesn’t make it right, right? :)

And its more the intention behind the dress – I think it’s pretty clear that they dressed Bolin in order for him to look “hot.” Same with Ginger and her “moves.”

        • Dillon DeVries

Who knows whether that is right or wrong other than whoever God truly is? It’s just as wrong of you to say one thing or another is true for everyone. I’m done here.

          • GoLEAFSGo

True. True. But it’s also wrong to say that everyone is right. Someone might think that killing is right – technically based on the whole “tolerance” thing our society is trying to pressure on us means that we can’t say their wrong. Cause without a God, there is no right and wrong.

Anyways, have a great week filled with suspense. Can’t wait for Wan!

          • Anon

you’re right when you say “without a god there is no right and wrong”. There is no definitive right and wrong, only what people deem and socially acceptable and socially unacceptable. So, technically, from an objective standpoint, killing babies is neither right nor wrong. It all depends on perspective with no answer being absolute one way or another. Sure, I wouldn’t want to kill babies because it’s in my primal nature to help my own species survive and I’ve been brought up being taught that I shouldn’t do that, and I’d go to jail if I did, but that doesn’t mean it’s morally wrong.

          • GoLEAFSGo

but then nothing is morally wrong, What Adolf Hitler did to the Jews was neither right or wrong. Oh boy… this world is in trouble.

        • Aeri

Not everything has to be morally right in a tv show. And especially in real life, since the world is certainly not an innocent and clean place. The show does not have to be PG to be good. The thing that makes Korra so awesome to me is that they don’t have perfect characters, or perfect plot or perfect judgement/reactions. For instance, if Azula was Azula forever, it didn’t make sense. It was beautiful the way she logically corrupted herself and went insane.

          • GoLEAFSGo

Yes, but we know Azula is wrong and baddy bad. We know that killing is wrong. TV shows need that stuff to have a plot. Its just when they start not taking it a big deal that I notice these things. Not trying to be picky, I just notice these things more than others I guess. I knew this discussion would get responses so I started it!
I totally get you point though. Thx :)

          • Tahno

            I have no words.

        • Muggle

They don’t show that content as if it’s good and right. Have you been paying attention?

      • GoLEAFSGo

And there’s a difference between real world problems and real world moral issues. :)

    • Dillon DeVries

Thoughts: Don’t be such an uptight bitch. This series caters to multiple levels of people. I’m 21 watching this show and it appeals to me on many different personal levels. Just enjoy that you clearly like the show. Jesus H. Christ.

      • GoLEAFSGo

It’s just my opinion guys. Just trying to raise a point. I love the show *as I mentioned*!!! If Korra ripped somebody’s head off, what would people say? They’d have an opinion. That’s all. Just trying to facilitate some discussion of the show, morals, and if there is an ultimate standard other than the standards we make for ourselves. :) LOL.

        • GoLEAFSGo

and no need for name-calling :( Avatar Aang wouldn’t be pleased with swear words. LOL!!

    • Anon

the goal of this show isn’t to teach people a valuable lesson, it’s to make money and entertain us. if the show was completely innocent it would be on in the morning, not late at night when younger children who can’t help themselves are asleep.

  • Valeria Benitez

and the 3rd part??’ D: oooh!! :’( Me emocioné!!

    • blueblue

      I know!!
      It just cuts off!!!
      I wanna know what happens!!!!

  • mik

What if Korra doesn’t remember Mako???

    • Aeri

That’s probably why she’s alone on the island and went alone to the Fire Nation also. We don’t need that sort of unnecessary content, I’m sure it will be resolved shortly though.

      • crystallinel

I kinda hope she doesnt remember him.

    • Kailee

That would be so sad if she doesn’t remember him!!

    • Katherine M.

Its unnecessary to bring the two together if Korra doesn’t have any memory of Mako. I don’t think Korra’s amnesia is supposed to last longer than two episodes.

  • Aeri

Just throwing my 2 cents, it’s fine to argue/debate/discuss opposing opinions but I find it really unnecessary to bring a whole other argument about religion into this.

    • crystalline

I think it all ties. It might be slightly unnecessary but it’s just showing why a person argues the way they do just so people don’t get the wrong idea. I think that if people do not like it they should just ignore it and dismiss it.

      • GoLEAFSGo

I apologize if I was being a bit forward. I’m just really passionate about my faith and about other people.

    • bunnyblades

I know right. God Damn, it’s a battlefield down there. I just cant wait for Keval to make a new post and get this all over with.

    • Muggle

And start trying to convert people to that religion… that’s SO annoying.

    • avatarkyoshi

Welcome to the internet, my friend.

      • Aeri

I’m very aware the internet is an immature and disgusting place. But seriously? This is the comment section of a LoK blog. No freakin’ need to swamp the comments with arguments about religion and matters that have absolutely no ties to the topic.it’s simply not needed and the conversations some of you continued to have [not pointing to anyone in particular] is just offensive for both sides. I’m not a mod for this site, but I said my share and it should stop soon so everyone can hopefully keep their dignity.

        • avatarkyoshi

I know, I’m just pointing out that this happens in the internet all the time. Some guy comments about a random topic, and another argues, and it goes on, and on, and on…..

  • Kristi

I was lucky to find the last part of the episode. This has got to be one of the most exciting episode in both ATLA and LOK. Enjoy!

    • badabing

      Thanks!

    • GoLEAFSGo

      THANKS for posting this!!!!

    • crystalline

      Sweet!!!!

    • Kailee

You rock! Thank you so much!! It was awesome!

    • Heisenburg

I laughed way too hard at this

      • chris

        amen!

      • Wyatt

        Nice profile name :) “Bitch”

    • Wyatt

It keeps telling me I can’t watch it because the video is private. Did you have to take it down or something?

      • Eliminator

seems like he made it privat :/ nobody can access it. lucky me that i watched it a few hours ago :)

    • johnnn

once you click the hyperlink it sends you to youtube, then it say’s the video is private, how exactly did you access it ?

    • Joe

Got an idea about this episode. One that I think Wan and Rava make up seeing as Wan knew where it was and when he said it they sounded like they were on friendly terms. 2nd: is that pool that korra in possibly the same that Wan was in?!?!

    • Swerve

Kristi, do you know the video is marked private? We can’t really “enjoy” it at the moment. Could you please fix that. Thanks.

    • Ana Cabrera

bummer can’t watch it.. its set as private Dx

    • imaguest

this video is private. you have to set this into unlisted so that other people can watch it. PLS:)

    • john

      why would you private that?

    • gfytig

i cant watch it its private

    • christian

where did you get that episode ???

    • christian

      why is it private???

    • christian

can you share that video to public
      ???

  • korrafan81516

I wonder if they are going to leak part 2

    • Aeri

Only part 1 of the beginnings episodes was shown.

      • korrafan81516

Darn so we have to wait for friday to get part 2!!!

        • Aeri

We only got the first part 6 days early in relatively good quality, really sucks that we have to wait until friday right?

    • MG

I read from the wiki that unlike Part 1 which will be for viewing for ALL attendees, Part 2 is only for SELECT COSPLAYERS.

But I don’t mind waiting 5 days for the actual one. It’s unlike the Rebel Spirit leak which I had to wait, like, 2 months for.

      • watchingall

This sums up my entire thought on this leak.

  • korrafan81516

is it just me or does bolin look hot in his water tribe outfit for his movie?

  • Lauren

Rava is the avatar spirit! The spirit of darkness is a spirit Rava was trying to keep in check. Vatu? Batu? Something like that. It’s in the last few minutes of the episode

    • Lana

      That´s what I Think too! :)

  • Borra Shipper

    Viacom is retarded

  • MG

Love the references to “Spirited Away”, where Wan was trying to enter the oasis. And another reference to “The Blind Bandit” with the “none-of-your-business [location].”

    • MG

I only watched about half of the episode when I commented. The later part was quite a parallel/parody to “Spirited Away”.

  • ajames123

Who attacked Korra? Koto or Rava?

  • chewgum

    …Night of thousand stars….
    from tumblr

    • LOKlover

      Is that korra and mako?

      • chewgum

        yes

        • chewgum

this is only a picture that i found on tumblr and i hope in that episode will happen so

    • Yue

      Wow!! Absolutely beautiful! :D

  • KorraFan

    This is so awesome!!!! :D

  • Pokefan9150

Man, I’m so tempted to watch it…
    Must…wait…’till….Friday for…Full…HD…Quality…

  • http://avatarthelegendofkorraonline.com/ Keval

Holy fuck why is everyone rantings about religion? I’m not even going to moderate it (too many comments), so please STOP!

  • Makorraaa<3

That would be sad if Korra and mako reunite and mako is like “I’ve missed you so much Korra! I can’t imagine my life without you in it and I love you!” And then Korra’s like…. “Who the fuck are you?”

    • crystalline

      lol ikr.

  • DavidTwo

    >would like to watch the leaks
    >forgot that fangirls scream everytime something actually happens.

Guess I’ll have to wait.. what, four more days?

  • Eddy

I dont understand one thing in this episode 7 beginnings of season 2 , that how come everything just got vanished from the warehouse when Asami left with Mako, I mean the chairman of the company is not supposed to guard the warehouse, its the duty of Security Guard. So it was a bit illogical and the next thing that how come Eska said that Avatar is finished, how can she be so sure I don’t understand it, Its rating will go down only.

  • Johan

    i cant see part 3 :T

  • Taye

I’m so ready to see how Wan learns the other three elements, and how he becomes the bridge between the two worlds..

  • sanzigo

Why do these idiots have to scream?

  • KorraFan

I am DYING to see this special! :D I can’t wait to see how Wan became the first Avatar, and how Korra gets purged of her dark energy! I really feel like this will be the turning point of the season: this special is at the center of it, with the Physical-World centered episodes before it and the Spirit-World centered episodes after it. 3 minutes! SO EXCITED! :D
