Back in March, a Facebook user asked Studio Mir whether or not they were done animating Book 3.
The comment never received a reply until a little over a week ago. Studio Mir responded, “Korra Provider, we finished animating Book 3 but we are not sure about Nick schedule. Thanks!”
Studio Mir also responded to another Facebook user who asked when Book 3 is coming out. “We do not know when it will be released but it will be pretty soon.”
The last update we had on Book 3’s animation told us that 6 of the 13 episodes had been complete. Now that animation is reportedly finished, production on season 3 will be hitting its final stages.
Composer Jeremy Zuckerman will likely begin implementing his soundtrack into the season in the coming weeks. Mike and Bryan will be busy working on color corrections and scheduling voice overs.
Nickelodeon should (emphasis on ‘should’) begin working on a marketing plan for the season soon. That means that a trailer or clip likely isn’t too far away. As I’ve reiterated before, the re-initiation of Korra Nation essentially means marketing has begun. I fully expect Korra Nation to resume before the end of May.
No matter how it all ends up, this is just another piece of news confirming that Book 3 is on its way.
